Honoring our local heroes!

Lighthouse Baptist Church Honors Local Heroes at Annual First Responder Sunday

In a heartwarming display of appreciation, Lighthouse Baptist Church recently held its annual First Responder Sunday, a special event dedicated to honoring and recognizing the brave men and women of our local fire and police departments. The service, led by Pastor Bill Bryson, brought together congregants and first responders to celebrate dedication and service.

This year's event was particularly noteworthy as it recognized two outstanding individuals who have gone above and beyond in their duties. California Highway Patrol Officer Andrew House was named CHP Officer of the Year, and Battalion Chief Frank Nasca, was honored as Firefighter of the Year. Both were presented with Lighthouse Baptist Church's Honor Award.

Officer House's selection as CHP Officer of the Year is a testament to his exceptional service and unwavering commitment to our community's safety. His dedication has not gone unnoticed; the church was proud to acknowledge his contributions.

Battalion Chief Nasca's recognition stems from his invaluable role in training firefighters and his leadership in rope rescue operations. Chief Nasca has proven himself an indispensable asset to the fire department.

Pastor Bryson, on behalf of the congregants, expressed his gratitude for these local heroes: "It's an honor to recognize the men and women who put their lives on the line every day to keep our community safe."
